When James and Chiara contacted us about their “camp-picnic style wedding”, we knew that it had the potential to be something good. After doing a little research into the place where the wedding was going to be taking place and seeing the pictures of the camp, we realized that it had the potential to be something GREAT. A bit of time passed by after our initial email conversation with them and we weren’t entirely sure if we had ‘sold’ ourselves enough to secure the date! Despite not exactly knowing what that weekend in June would look like, we blocked off their date anyway just in case it panned out. Well, we are definitely glad we …

Although we look forward to and enjoy every wedding that we are involved with, there always seems to be one or two that stand out in our minds – and this wedding was definitely one of those.

When you combine a huge bed & breakfast mansion out in the country, some sweet vintage cars, a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and an awesome couple/family to work with, usually great things can happen!

We came about getting the opportunity to film this wedding a little different than normal as we actually asked the couple if we could film, as Josh is Tyler’s cousin.

Make Your Wedding Unique

Make Your Wedding Unique

Throughout the years of filming we have learned and observed a few different things that make weddings unique and thought we’d share them with you!

Write Your Own Vows

Although this may seem intimidating to you this adds a personal touch to your wedding that no cookie cutter vow can match.  Often you can be afraid that your vow might not be good enough or that it will sound cheesy to others. Don’t be afraid! A vow is supposed to reflect you and the promises you want to make to each other and this is something that a generic vow just can’t express.

The Day Before

The day before the wedding is packed of decorating, stressing, and last minute planning. …

Long & Kelly | September 2, 2012

We received an email from Long and Kelly wondering if we would be interested in filming their wedding. In the email Kelly wrote:

“We are also doing a tea ceremony in the morning of the wedding. We are both Vietnamese and this is part of the wedding events.”

We didn’t know what to expect. Neither of us had ever been to a Vietnamese wedding, let alone film one. We were thrilled, however,  to have the opportunity and jumped at the chance! We started to do our research and soon learnt what happens at a Tea Ceremony as well as a few other traditions. We were so excited!

Since Long and Kelly live in Calgary we …

New Beginnings

At the end of every year we always sit down and evaluate the past wedding season to go over all of the successes we had, and what we would like to work on or change in the upcoming year.  2012  was definitely a year of growth for us as we took on more weddings than we ever had and pushed ourselves to be better filmmakers.  As we look to build off of the tremendous successes that we had in 2012 we decided to launch a new site to keep our brand fresh, and to invest (yet again) in more equipment that will allow to do more things.

We are excited at what 2013 will bring, and already know that it will be very …
