When James and Chiara contacted us about their “camp-picnic style wedding”, we knew that it had the potential to be something good. After doing a little research into the place where the wedding was going to be taking place and seeing the pictures of the camp, we realized that it had the potential to be something GREAT. A bit of time passed by after our initial email conversation with them and we weren’t entirely sure if we had ‘sold’ ourselves enough to secure the date! Although we look forward to and enjoy every wedding that we are involved with, there always seems to be one or two that stand out in our minds – and this wedding was definitely one of those.

When you combine a huge bed & breakfast mansion out in the country, some sweet vintage cars, a beautiful outdoor ceremony, and an awesome couple/family to work with, usually great things can happen!

We came about getting the opportunity to film this wedding a little different than normal as we actually asked the couple if we could film, as Josh is Tyler’s cousin.

We received an email from Long and Kelly wondering if we would be interested in filming their wedding. In the email Kelly wrote:

“We are also doing a tea ceremony in the morning of the wedding. We are both Vietnamese and this is part of the wedding events.”

We didn’t know what to expect. Neither of us had ever been to a Vietnamese wedding, let alone film one. We were thrilled, however,  to have the opportunity and jumped at the chance! We started to do our research and soon learnt what happens at a Tea Ceremony as well as a few other traditions. We were so excited!
