When James and Chiara contacted us about their “camp-picnic style wedding”, we knew that it had the potential to be something good. After doing a little research into the place where the wedding was going to be taking place and seeing the pictures of the camp, we realized that it had the potential to be something GREAT. A bit of time passed by after our initial email conversation with them and we weren’t entirely sure if we had ‘sold’ ourselves enough to secure the date! Despite not exactly knowing what that weekend in June would look like, we blocked off their date anyway just in case it panned out. Well, we are definitely glad we did!

This wedding was the epitome of unique, stylish, and incredibly heartfelt. The fact that James and Chiara met and worked at Camp Whitesand together was very special as every place throughout the camp had a memory and special meaning to them. From the ropes course where James first saw Chiara and fittingly had their wedding day ‘first look’, to the chapel, and the fire pit by the water. They went out of their way to make sure that everyone was having a great time and entertained their guests for not only the day of the wedding but the entire weekend with planned activities, accommodations, and socializing from Thursday ’til Monday. It truly was a celebration that lasted for days and felt just as much like a retreat or vacation as it did a wedding.

We were fortunate enough to be around the evening before the wedding day and take part in their worship service, camp fire, and the most epic fireworks display/disaster ever. It had the whole camp talking and laughing the next day – thankfully no one was hurt!
We felt truly blessed to be apart of their day and to share in something so meaningful and special.

As James so astutely put it,

“a wedding shouldn’t be all about table runners and center pieces

and although those are good things,
there is so much more significance to what the day is all about”.

We left feeling that James and Chiara did an amazing job of portraying that significance.

We hope you enjoy the Highlight Film and that it captures even a little piece of an incredible day.

A huge shout out to Adrian Michael and his wife Sarah who were a pleasure to work with and do phenomenal work. Check them out at
